What does RPEQ certification mean and why do I need it?
RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) is a legal requirement under the Professional Engineers Act 2002 for any engineering service provided in Queensland. Council assessors will reject submissions without RPEQ certification on the drawings. CWD's engineers are RPEQ-registered, so everything we deliver is council-ready out of the box.
Can you do just the civil engineering, or do I need to engage you for everything?
Either. We're often engaged for the full civil scope on a subdivision (earthworks → drainage → roads → utilities), but we also take stand-alone engagements — an OPW stormwater design, an OSD certification, a single-lot drainage inspection. Tell us what you actually need and we'll scope just that.
Do you coordinate with surveyors, town planners, and ecologists?
Yes. Most of our subdivision work runs alongside a surveyor and a town planner; flood-prone or environmentally constrained sites also bring in an ecologist. We co-ordinate directly with whichever consultant team is already on the job — no need to re-quote the others through us.
